Between us, Cathy and I have over 40 years experience in shooting sporting clays all over the US and in Europe. We bring this experience to bear in running Deer Creek Sporting Clays and we hope, in time, to make it one of the premier clubs in Florida.  We welcome both local shooters, temporary visitors and our winter residents to open shooting, fun shoots, charity shoots and NSCA registered shoots.

We are located less than 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport, just off SR52, 6 Miles from I75 exit 285 and 8 Miles from the Suncoast Toll Way.

Deer Creek offers a beautiful tranquil setting of nearly 300 acres for the fastest growing sport in the USA - Sporting Clays. We have over 30 different target presentations on three courses plus wobble trap and a Five Stand where experienced shooters and novices alike can try their hand at this great fun sport. Men, women and youngsters can take part; it does not require great physique or conditioning. We offer shotgun rental, golf cart rental, lessons from British and US coaches, free clinics for Women and Kids and our Pro Shop sells clothing, accessories and ammunition. The property is virtually flat, has all the native species of plants animals and reptiles of Central Florida and, as you can tell from the name we have several deer on the property which can be seen regularly in the late afternoon.

Opening Hours

We offer casual shooting Sporting Clays and Five stand 4 days a week - Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We serve coffee and donuts from 8:30 and shooting starts at 9:00 AM. The last squad out on Sporting Clays must start no later than 3:30 to make sure you are finished before the close of shooting at 5 PM.

We run fund raising shoots for charities, schools, and local community groups and business events that are an alternative to traditional golf outings and the like. Team building events, or "thank you" to past customers or prospective customers are totally different and memorable at Deer Creek Sporting Clays of Tampa Bay.
